Do you love politics? Are you committed to keeping a Democratic majority in the Senate? If so, an internship with the DSCC might be a perfect fit for you!

We are currently seeking energetic and hard-working students to join our DSCC fall internship program.

The DSCC is the branch of the Democratic Party committed to electing more Democrats to the Senate. We work toward this goal by not only providing Democratic Senate candidates with political and financial support throughout the election cycle, but also through helping advance the overall Democratic message.

An internship with the DSCC is a one-of-a-kind D.C. experience that helps students learn more about the American political process. We are a very busy staff and rely heavily on our interns for everyday tasks and advanced, long-term projects. As an intern, you will have the chance to meet Democratic senators and candidates from across the country and become familiar with the basics of campaigns.

As a DSCC intern you will interact with a wide array of our departments — including:

  • * Political
  • * Research
  • * Finance
  • * Compliance

    • The DSCC is a fast-paced office, and our interns' daily tasks change regularly. We are looking for reliable students who are organized, self-motivated, have an interest in politics, think ahead on how they can help the staff and the DSCC, and are willing to work hard to get the job done.

Here's how one intern described working at the DSCC: "It's a good way learn about the work it takes to elect candidates to office, experience that is of great value if you're thinking about getting into the campaign world. Interns gain practical skills and knowledge needed in the political realm, which can help give you a leg up in a political career." Another said the best part about being an intern was the DSCC's "friendly atmosphere" and the opportunity to get "real-world" political experience while still attending school.
