Scott Brown's Tea Party Party

Fri Jan 08 2010 15:10:00 GMT-0500 (EST)  |  by Arjun Jaikumar

Massachusetts Republican Scott Brown is campaigning for Ted Kennedy’s Senate seat on the premise of being the anti-Kennedy.

He has aligned himself with the right-wing “tea party” movement, going so far as to hold a tea-party party for himself in Westborough, a fundraiser featured prominently on his website:

Brown was also endorsed by the radical Tea Party Express on January 7, and the organization is preparing to run ads on his behalf. Scott Brown could not be farther from the late Senator Kennedy’s legacy.

So, let me get this straight. Demanding a smaller government, politicians and bureaucrats out of my life, lower taxes and protecting my property is radical? Well, you might be right. John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, George Washington, James Madison, Ben Franklin were radicals and I am proud to stand with them. Don't Tread on Me!

When did it become radical to want - demand more transparency and accountability? I think all the backroom deals cut recently for Nebraska and the Unions was pretty radical - well, as much as we'll ever really know. Getting SOMEONE/ANYONE in there who can & will pull Pelosi and Ried into the light and force all the details to be judged on their own merits is a good thing. I like Coakley, but she won't be able to leverage that monstrosity whose agenda no one remotely recognizes. Go Brown go!

As stated by Scott Brown - IT IS NOT TED KENNEDY'S SEAT-
It is the People's Seat. and what happened to "Dissent is the highest form of Patriotism" As spoken by Ms. Hillary Clinton. How nice of you to alienate the over one million people (and their families) that trekked to DC for the 9/12 rally.

  • The REAL ISSUE: Individual Freedom Sat Jan 16 2010 08:58:58 GMT-0500 (EST)  |  by
If Scott Brown wins, it will determine the outcome of the most important issue of our times: Is there such a thing as a Right to Medical Care?

I would argue, NEVER! The pure Libertarian argument clearly applies here. Any alleged "right" that is dependent on the seizure of goods and/or services from one man to another is in reality nothing more than an imposition of slavery and tyranny. Even if you came up with some tortuous "legal" rationale for seizing my property against my will, you can never justify enslavement to provide for someone else's medical care.

Take one inevitable consequence of this proposed Tyranny, National Health Care: the inevitable Doctor shortage. There will be a mass voluntary retirement of Doctors and/or refusal to offer services for lack of sufficient reimbursements. What are all of you budding little "Statists" in the Democrat Party going to do? Are going to concoct some Law to draft Doctors?

Be very careful here. The people of this country are angry...very angry about this coming obscenity, called Obama care. If these fools in Congress pass this thing, (in addition to Cap and Tax, and the legalization of the Illegal aliens), you're going to have "real" revolution on your hands. THAT will cause all you supports of Obama something to really worry about. You can not continue to e to pile taxes and regulations onto the backs of the people without provoking a reaction that we will all regret.

Government takeover of GM and Chrysler - RADICAL
Government takeover of National Banks - RADICAL
Government takeover of Health Care - RADICAL
New York telling me how much salt I can eat - RADICAL
Obama's favorite book - RULES FOR RADICALS

The oldest trick in the liberal play book is accuse the other side of doing what you are doing to deflect scrutiny. Over 60% of Americans want nothing to do with "Teddy's" health care bill, but the Dems want to shove it down our throats so they can control EVERY aspect of our lives, the New York salt issue as a perfect example. They want the "smart" grid so THEY can control our thermostats. EVERYTHING the democrats have done for the past year has been RADICAL. I can't believe how many mornings I have read the headlines and had to ask myself if I had woken up in Hugo Chavez's Venezuela. Even Obama's FCC Czar PRAISED CHAVEZ's model for the media (take it over and shut up your opposition). SO DEMS, Don't try to define RADICAL for me!!! I KNOW what it is AND YOU ARE IT!!! Our free country's roots are in Boston. PLEASE let the renewal of our freedoms begin there this coming Tuesday. Vote for BROWN.

The Democrat party has voted for its death. By shoving a fascist progressive health care bill down the throats of the American people who detest it vehemently, they have proven that they cannot be trusted with any power ever again. Not since the Whig party imploded has an American political party so descended into chaos. Soon being called a Democrat will be akin to calling someone a criminal.
