Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee Spokesman David Bergstein today issued the following statement:
“This health care plan is the platform of the entire Republican Party and voters will hold every Republican Senate candidate accountable for it. For the next two years – at every press event, town hall and campaign stop – every Republican will have to explain why older Americans should pay five times more for care. Why their agenda would make working people pay more for less while giving tax cuts to big insurance companies. And why their platform delivers on none of their campaign promises to provide ‘insurance for everybody.’ To every Republican Senate candidate – and to those still weighing their decision whether to run or not – we have one message for you: you own this plan.”
This week the DSCC launched its first TV and digital advertising campaign of the 2018 cycle highlighting how the Republican Healthcare Plan hurts working families, and previously released a memo detailing the campaign implications for the Republican’s healthcare proposal and highlighting how every Republican Senate candidate will be weighed down by their Party’s reckless plan.
