House Republicans are planning to waste more time with yet another attempt to defund Planned Parenthood and increase health care costs – the first votes of the New Year – and Nevadans are right to wonder if Congressman Joe Heck will stand with them or with his friends in Washington. Congressman Heck has already voted 8 times to defund Planned Parenthood. And on top of getting $35,000 in Koch cash, he’s also been showered with ads from a Koch front group to thank him for voting to make health care less accessible for Nevadans.

Senator Roy Blunt’s deep lobbying ties made front page news on Sunday, as the Springfield News-Leader examined the conflicts of interest created since his son Andy manages Blunt’s reelection while continuing his work as a Missouri lobbyist. The report revealed that in the past nine months while managing his father’s campaign, Blunt has “added seven new clients to his already packed roster.”
GOP incumbents had reason to worry for their political futures even before toxic presidential frontrunners took control over their party, but as Chris Matthews put it last night on MSNBC: “Trump headwinds are giving anxiety to Republican senators up for reelection.”

The DSCC raised $4.4 million in November, beating the NRSC by $1.6 million for the month and outraising the Republican committee nine out of 11 months this year. The DSCC has $10.1 million cash on hand and lowered its operational debt to $5.1 million.
