In response to the CBO’s confirmation that Mitch McConnell’s tax bill would raise taxes on the working and middle-class, Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee Communications Director Lauren Passalacqua issued the following statement:
“Over and over, experts have confirmed that Senator McConnell broke his promise and lied to cover up tax hikes, institute a double-tax, blow up the deficit, and cost millions their health care, all to get the campaign contributions flowing again. McConnell’s plan is the worst kind of sellout, and Republican Senators and their candidates will be held accountable.”
