It’s been more than a week since Republicans announced their latest, stunning effort to make coverage for pre-existing conditions unconstitutional and new reports confirm this decision could impactemployer-provided coverage, as well – impacting thousands more Ohioans in addition to the more than 4.8 million Ohio individuals who have pre-existing conditions. Still, Congressman Renacci is supporting the GOP’s health care agenda that jeopardizes coverage for pre-existing conditions.
“After a week spent refusing to stand up for Ohioans who want insurance companies to cover pre-existing conditions, it’s clear Congressman Renacci is once again putting his own political self-interests ahead of his state,” said Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee spokesman David Bergstein. “Renacci supported a plan in Congress that would jeopardize coverage for pre-existing conditions, spike premiums, and impose an age tax on older Americans – so it’s no surprise he is refusing to speak out against this new attempt to sabotage Ohio residents’ health care.”
