Cramer’s Group Pushed Policies That Would Hurt North Dakota
Congressman Kevin Cramer is a dues-paying member of the Republican Study Committee – the same group pushing policies that would harm North Dakota’s agriculture industry – but that didn’t stop him from brazenly attempting to take credit for fighting those proposals in a recent debate about the farm bill.
The RSC introduced and supported cutting and then eliminating the Renewal Fuel Standard, as well as cutting crop insurance and nutrition programs in the farm bill – all of which help North Dakota farmers. Cramer has been a member of the RSC since his first year in Congress.
“Once again, Congressman Cramer is trying to deceive North Dakotans. While he touts his ability to help North Dakota farmers at home, in D.C., he’s a part of a group that has worked to eliminate essential programs for agriculture employees,” said DSCC spokesman David Bergstein. “Unfortunately, this is what North Dakotans have come to expect of Congressman Cramer: putting his political interests ahead of helping his constituents.”
