DSCC launches new microsite: makesitupmike.com

DSCC also launched digital ads targeting Rep. Braun on pre-existing conditions

Today the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee is launching a digital campaign, including a website and digital advertisements, showcasing Representative Mike Braun’s dishonesty about his health care agenda that spikes costs and strips away coverage protections for pre-existing conditions from Hoosiers.

The site features three specific elements of Rep. Braun’s record that contradict his claims that he would protect coverage for pre-existing conditions: his support for the GOP lawsuit which makes coverage for pre-existing conditions unconstitutional; his support for the Senate GOP health care bill that would have effectively ended protections for pre-existing conditions; and his support for the House GOP health care bill that would have done the same. It also contains footage of Braun admitting that his own company’s health care plan, which he previously used as proof he’d protect pre-existing conditions, could not be implemented at the national level.

Braun’s health care policies would impact 1.1 million Hoosiers under 65 with pre-existing conditions and would have raised health care costs for the average Hoosier by $1,000 every year, in addition to gutting HIP 2.0.

The Google search ads targeting Braun will direct voters to makesitupmike.com.

From Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee Spokesman David Bergstein: “Representative Braun has no good answer why he’s backing three specific proposals that would gut coverage for pre-existing conditions and spike health care costs for hardworking Hoosiers – so he’s acting like the typical, dishonest politician that he is and lying about about his record. Voters know his real record and will hold him accountable for his toxic, expensive health care policies in November.”
