The DSCC raised $8.6 million in June, crushing the NRSC by over $2 million. The DSCC outraised the NRSC 10 out of 12 months in 2015 and in the first six months of 2016, despite being in the minority. Over the last three months, the DSCC raised $21.9 million, nearly $6 million more than the NRSC raised in the same period, for the best Q2 in DSCC history. The DSCC has $29 million cash on hand, over $2.5 million more than the NRSC has, and no operational debt.
Statement from Executive Director Tom Lopach: “The DSCC is incredibly grateful to our supporters across the country who helped us post the best second quarter in committee history. Our continued fundraising success shows the frustration voters feel with a Republican-led Senate that’s refused to take action on Zika funding, President Obama’s Supreme Court nominee, and commonsense gun safety reform. As Republicans fall in line behind Donald Trump, our terrific candidates across the country are showing how they will stand up for middle class families, and we are thankful to have the resources necessary to help them win in November.”
