In response to a new report revealing the GOP’s Senate support for the Republican Healthcare Plan, Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee Spokesman David Bergstein issued the following statement:
“Anyone who thought Senate Republicans would give GOP candidates a better healthcare platform to run on was wrong. Like their House colleagues, they’re ready to strip coverage for pre-existing conditions, further jeopardize women’s healthcare and spike costs for working Americans in order to give big insurance companies another handout. We will make sure voters hold Senators Dean Heller, Jeff Flake and every Republican Senate candidate accountable for their broken promises.”
As Republicans revive their toxic healthcare plan, the DSCC has re-launched its healthcare spot, “The Price” through Google search and Facebook advertising in 12 key Senate battleground states. The DSCC first released the spot — described as “gut punch of an ad” by MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow — in March alongside a healthcare website and a memo detailing the campaign implications of the GOP’s proposal. During the recent congressional recess the DSCC also expanded its healthcare website and released targeted Google search advertisements highlighting potential Republican Senate candidate’s’ support for their party’s toxic healthcare Plan.
