DSCC Statement on House Passage of the Senate’s Budget Resolution

In response to the House passing the Senate’s budget resolution bill, Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee spokesman David Bergstein issued the following statement:

“With severe cuts to Medicare and Medicaid, a threat to cap what middle class families can save for retirement, and giveaways to the wealthy and big corporations, there’s no question who Republicans are looking out for in their budget – and it isn’t the people they represent. This proposal is yet another proof point that Republicans are putting the interests of their big money donors first, and voters will hold Republicans accountable in 2018.”

Below is a list of members who voted for the Republican budget plan:
IN – Rep. Luke Messer, Rep. Todd Rokita
MI – Rep. Fred Upton
ND – Rep. Kevin Cramer
PA – Rep. Lou Barletta
TN – Rep. Marsha Blackburn
WV – Rep. Evan Jenkins
