DSCC Communications Director Sadie Weiner issued the following statement on the latest report of a massive bailout to help increasingly vulnerable GOP Senate candidates:
“After outspending Democratic candidates all cycle, Republicans have hit the panic button. The Senate Leadership Fund’s last-minute spending spree can’t erase the records that made this bailout necessary. From New Hampshire to Nevada, self-serving GOP Senate candidates failed to stand up for their constituents while also making Donald Trump’s rise possible. They used the same immoral compass to determine whether standing with or separating from Trump would help their careers. Just like the recent weeks’ political stunts, this spending will have been made in vain.”
