In response to Rick Scott’s meeting today in D.C., Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee Spokesman David Bergstein released the following statement:
“Unfortunately, Rick Scott’s record and actions — like slashing protections for seniors, hiding critical information from the public in order to benefit himself and his political allies, installing unqualified cronies in key public safety positions and denying climate change — have made Floridians less safe from the impact of these natural disasters. His motivation is clear: advancing his own self-serving political agenda at Floridians expense. And as new revelations continue to emerge, Scott’s scandal is only continuing to escalate.”
