In response to the Senate GOP’s failure to meet their health care vote deadline, Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee Spokesman David Bergstein released the following statement:
“Make no mistake: Republicans will not stop until they force Americans to pay more for less care. They’ll now retreat back behind closed doors to continue crafting an agenda that drives up costs on working families, spikes premiums by 20 percent next year, imposes an age tax and wipes away coverage for preexisting conditions — all to give insurance companies and the wealthy a tax break. That’s the GOP health care platform and it’s what voters will hold them accountable for in 2018.”
