First DSCC TV Ad In NV Senate Race: “I Was At The Town Hall”

Today the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee released its first ad in Nevada’s Senate race, I Was At The Town Hall.

The spot features a testimonial from Jessica, who has stage four cancer, discussing Senator Heller’s spineless record on health care. Jessica was a town hall in 2017 when Senator Heller said he’d protect health care coverage — but then he broke his promise, caved to political pressure and voted for the GOP’s health care bill that gutted coverage for pre-existing conditions.

The ad will begin airing today as part of the DSCC’s previously announced reservation

“I WAS AT THE TOWN HALL”

TRANSCRIPT:

Jessica: I have stage four cancer. I would be dead without health insurance.

Jessica: Dean Heller, I was at the town hall when you promised to protect our health care.

Jessica: But he broke his promise, and voted to gut protections for pre-existing conditions.

Jessica: He just caved to political pressure and corporate interests funding his campaign.

Jessica: This may just be politics to him, but we’re fighting for our lives.

Jessica: Dean Heller, you voted against us. It’s our turn to vote against you.

Announcer: DSCC is responsible for the content of this advertising.
