GOP Wants To Strip Away Employer-Covered Health Insurance

In response to new stories revealing Republicans want to strip away coverage for individuals receiving health care through their jobs (roughly half of the country) and that the number of Americans without insurance has increased, Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee Spokesman David Bergstein released the following statement:

“Republicans’ efforts to take away the insurance Americans get through their jobs is a tangible, expensive and unpopular threat to voters of every political persuasion. The GOP’s toxic health care agenda — coupled with their ongoing sabotage of the health insurance system — means working families will pay higher costs and see their coverage stripped away in order to benefit the wealthy and well connected, and voters will hold every GOP Senate candidate accountable.”
