It’s been more than a week since Republicans announced their latest, stunning effort to make coverage for pre-existing conditions unconstitutional and new reports confirm this decision could impactemployer-provided coverage, as well – impacting thousands more Montanans in addition to the 425,900 Montana individuals who have pre-existing conditions. Still, Insurance Commissioner Rosendale is supporting the GOP’s health care agenda that jeopardizes coverage for pre-existing conditions.
“After a week spent refusing to stand up for Montanans who want insurance companies to cover pre-existing conditions, it’s clear Insurance Commissioner Rosendale is once again putting his own political self-interests ahead of his state,” said Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee spokesman David Bergstein. “Rosendale supported a plan in Congress that would jeopardize coverage for pre-existing conditions, spike premiums, and impose an age tax on older Americans – so it’s no surprise he is refusing to speak out against this new attempt to sabotage Montana residents’ health care.”
