In response to Senate Republicans voting to advance Congressmen Kelly and Barletta’s toxic health care plan, Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee spokesman David Bergstein issued the following statement:
“Congressmen Kelly and Barletta’s plan to spike health care costs and strip coverage for Pennsylvanians just came one step closer to becoming a reality. Their plan would impose an age tax on older Americans, increase premiums by 20 percent, and strip away coverage for pre-existing conditions — all to give big insurance companies and the wealthy a massive tax break. This vote continues to guarantee that Congressmen Kelly and Barletta’s horrific and expensive health care agenda will be front and center and, if either of them decide to run for Senate, voters will hold them accountable.”
