Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee spokesman Stewart Boss released the following statement on the four vulnerable Republican incumbents who voted to force deep cuts to programs Americans support – like Medicare, benefits for farmers as well as those for veterans, military families, and public education:
“Senators Joni Ernst, Thom Tillis, John Cornyn and Steve Daines wasted no time in passing a ‘lopsided giveaway to corporations’ that exploded federal deficits and now they have the gall to pass the tab onto their constituents. Their reckless budget threatens to gut crucial programs for working Americans, from Medicare to aid for servicemembers and their families, farmers, and students. It’s bad policy and a worse re-election platform, and voters will show them the door in 2020.”
