Missouri Republicans Silent As Plan to Force Missourians to Pay More For Less Care Moves Forward

In response to Senate Republicans voting to advance their party’s toxic health care agenda, Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee spokesman David Bergstein issued the following statement:

“As Washington Republicans move one step closer to implementing their horrific and expensive plan that would spike costs and strip coverage for hardworking Missourians, elected officials – and potential Senate candidates – Hawley, Schmitt, Haefner, and Curtman are silent, while Peterson demanded even more dangerous changes. Their party’s proposals would impose an age tax on older Americans, increase premiums, and strip away coverage for pre-existing conditions — all to give big insurance companies and the wealthy a massive tax break. This vote continues to guarantee that their party’s harmful health care agenda will be front and center and, if they decide to run for Senate, voters will hold them accountable.”
