The Republican lawsuit to drive up health care costs and gut coverage protections for people with pre-existing conditions is in court today, and the DSCC is launching new ads targeting failed Republican Senate candidate John James for refusing to take action to protect Michiganders’ care. This is the DSCC’s latest investment in digital ads holding James accountable for his toxic record on health care.
James has refused to stand up to his party’s toxic proposals to spike costs and dismantle health care protections for Michiganders, and has said he supports President Trump’s agenda “2,000%” — including efforts to tear down the health care law.
“As Republicans go to court to end protections for Michiganders with pre-existing conditions, failed candidate John James should consider himself on notice,” said DSCC spokesperson Stewart Boss. “James has said he supports Trump’s agenda ‘2000%,’ and that includes this toxic lawsuit to raise the cost of care and tear away coverage protections for Michigan families. John James is part of the problem and Michiganders can’t afford his dangerous agenda.”
