New DSCC Google Ads Highlight Self-Serving Scott’s Record

Ads will connect individuals to SelfServingScott.com

Following the launch of its new website, SelfServingScott.com, today the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee is beginning Google search advertisements to continue highlighting Rick Scott’s record of prioritizing his self-serving politics at Floridians’ expense.

The ads will connect individuals to the DSCC’s digital hub on Scott and feature specific elements of his self-serving, dishonest record including: how Florida lost jobs and Scott got richer; Scott’s broken promise to expand health care; Scott’s support for drilling near shores and beaches; and how Scott failed to make Florida safer from gun violence. The ads will read Florida voters searching for information about Scott and the Senate race as part of a digital buy. Examples of the ad are below:

From Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee Spokesman, David Bergstein: “On every issue, Rick Scott’s self-serving, dishonest record is clear: he never misses an opportunity to advance his own agenda at Floridians’ expense. Deceitful, manipulative, and perpetually out for himself, Scott has proven time and again that he can’t be trusted to look out for anyone but himself.”

Yesterday, the DSCC launched SelfServingScott.com, a digital hub that highlights Scott’s self-serving record as governor, and will be a resource for individuals to learn and share the facts about his record through social media. The site features six key areas:

  1. Self-Serving Scott Made Millions, Florida Lost Jobs.
  2. Self-Serving Scott Is A Walking Conflict Of Interest With A Secret Financial Account.
  3. Self-Serving Scott’s Hurricane Irma Nursing Home Scandal Left 14 Seniors Dead.
  4. Self-Serving Scott Supported Drilling Near Shores & Beaches – Even After The BP Oil Spill.
  5. Self-Serving Scott Broke His Promise To Expand Health Care To 800,000 Floridians.
  6. Self-Serving Scott Let 612 Days Pass Between Pulse & Parkland With No Action To Make Floridians Safer From Gun Violence.

The site also features two advertisements the DSCC previously launched on Scott’s self-serving politics, “Truth” and “Blind.” “Truth” details Scott’s long record of misleading Floridians to advance his own agenda, and “Blind” shows how Scott may be using his position as governor to enrich himself through a secretive financial account, his so called blind trust.
