Today marks one year since Nevada’s Republican Governor Brian Sandoval rejected Senator Spineless Dean Heller’s dangerous health care bill on the grounds that it would “result in Nevadans losing insurance coverage.” That was months after Heller had launched into a series “of reversals,” first claiming he would stand with Nevadans, then voting to advance the GOP agenda designed to sabotage our health care system and strip critical protections from people in his state. He broke his promise and now it’s his biggest liability on the campaign trail – see the new ad up in Nevada now:
Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee spokesman David Bergstein released the following statement: “Governor Sandoval was right: Senator Heller’s health care agenda hurts Nevadans by spiking their costs and gutting their coverage for pre-existing conditions. Heller put this bill forward because he’s a spineless politician who’s just looking out for himself – that’s also why he won’t be re-elected in November.”
