Quick Clip: Dodging Tough Questions – “It’s Typical of Martha McSally”

The Arizona reporters who know Congresswoman Martha McSally best aren’t surprised she is doing her best to dodge debates, noting “it’s typical of Martha McSally” to avoid tough questions and maybe there’s “a concern” she would not do well. Watch:

RIVERA: let’s move on to the Senate, we’re missing a couple faces in the debate conversations. Why is it that we’ve not had Martha McSally and Kyrsten Sinema commit to some time?

NINTZEL: Well Kyrsten Sinema has committed. McSally has always played weird games with debates even when she was down here running in Congress here there were always like strange “I need this or I need that or it has to be here or it has to be there…and Sinema is like “yeah come on, bring it on” so I think it’s typical of Martha McSally. She’s not the most approachable person when it comes to sitting down for interviews with the press either so I think there may be some concern that she wouldn’t fare well in a debate with Kyrsten Sinema.

RIVERA: Will we see them, Tim come out in the weeks ahead?

STELLER: Gosh, I hope so I mean that would be ridiculous if they didn’t agree. Now correct me if I’m wrong, McSally has agreed to a debate on CNN?…That doesn’t sit well with me as an Arizona journalist. I don’t want CNN involved in our debates. I want you involved in our debates not Anderson Cooper or whatever.
