DSCC Communications Director Sadie Weiner issued the following statement on the Republican Presidential Nominee:
“The Republican nominee for president just suggested that gun violence would be an appropriate response if he doesn’t get his way. The only thing more appalling than Donald Trump are the Republican Senators and Senate candidates who continue to stand with him. It is not enough to simply disagree with someone who is both unfit and unable to lead our country. So when the Republican candidates for office give Trump a slap on the wrist and then try to distance themselves from Trump, remember that they are still supporting him to be President and Commander-in-Chief.”
