On the heels of investigative reporting that found Marshall filed lawsuits against more than 700 patients who struggled to cover medical bills, he was interrupted repeatedly with loud boos and chants of “shame on you” throughout the Kansas Senate debate
Today, at the first U.S. Senate debate in Kansas, GOP Sen. Roger Marshall was drowned out by boos from Kansans so loud he was barely able to finish his opening statement.
Kansans made their voices heard loud and clear as Marshall defended the war in Iran that’s hiking the price of diesel for farmers, his votes to slash healthcare and spike premiums – which are now putting rural hospitals on the brink of closure – and for rubber-stamping the price-hiking tariffs that are hurting Kansas families.
When debate moderators questioned Marshall’s “predatory” and “extreme” practices as a doctor following a breaking investigative report from The New York Times that highlighted his filing lawsuits against more than 700 patients – many of whom were uninsured new mothers – who struggled to pay for the services he provided as an OB-GYN, loud chants of “shame on you” broke out among debate attendees.
