In response to Representative and U.S. Senate candidate Wesley Hunt voting to block a bipartisan effort to extend Affordable Care Act tax credits and stop health care costs from skyrocketing, Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee Spokesperson Joe Bush released the following statement:
“Wesley Hunt tried to block a bipartisan bill to stop health care costs from skyrocketing for Texas families. By voting against extending Affordable Care Act tax credits, Hunt has cost more than a million Texans their coverage and forced families to pay hundreds more each year for health care. In 2026, Texans will remember the politicians who abandoned them when they needed help, and will hold them accountable for it at the ballot box.”
