Today in response to Senate Republicans introducing a national abortion ban, Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee Chair Senator Gary Peters issued the following statement:
“Republicans’ national abortion ban will be on the ballot, in every Senate race. The GOP has shown, once again, the threat they pose to a woman’s right to make her own health care decisions – and voters will make their voices heard by standing with Senate Democrats in November.”
Senate Republicans’ national abortion ban includes a criminal penalty that would lock Americans in federal prison for 5 years.
