DSCC Launches Digital Facebook and Twitter Ads Against Ron Johnson

Today the DSCC is launching digital ads on Twitter & Facebook against Senator Ron Johnson to highlight Johnson’s shady campaign finance scheme from 2010. In 2010, Johnson self-funded his campaign to the tune of $9 million, and was then awarded a $10 million “deferred compensation” package from his plastics company after the election – seemingly orchestrating a scenario where his company spent $9 million on his own campaign.

“It’s far past time for Ron Johnson to finally come clean about his shady campaign finance scheme and the DSCC will continue holding him accountable and demanding answers from the embattled Senator,” said Sadie Weiner, DSCC National Press Secretary. “Wisconsinites deserve to know the truth about Johnson’s shadowy campaign finance history, and these ads are just the beginning of our efforts to make sure voters know what Johnson was up to when he thought no one was looking.”

The DSCC kicked off its effort to hold Johnson accountable for his shady campaign finance scheme yesterday.
