The DSCC raised nearly $9.3 million in March and will report more than $13 million cash on hand –– the best off-year March and off-year grassroots fundraising month in the committee’s history. For the second month in a row, the DSCC outraised the NRSC.
And across the Senate map, Democratic Senators “dominated the list of top first-quarter fundraisers,” building “big war chests” and posting “higher totals than any incumbent senator two years ago.” Meanwhile, incumbent Republican Senators’ “fundraising was not as aggressive” and vulnerable GOP Senators like Ron Johnson “had among the smallest quarters of any incumbents.”

POLITICO: “The four swing-state Senate Democrats likeliest to face the toughest reelection fights — Raphael Warnock of Georgia, Mark Kelly of Arizona, Maggie Hassan of New Hampshire and Catherine Cortez Masto of Nevada — each raised more than $2 million, posting higher totals than any incumbent senator two years ago. All four had over $4 million in the bank, a total only two senators had at this point in 2019.”
CNN: “First-year Democrats build big war chests”
POLITICO: “The most vulnerable Democrats in the Senate took in huge sums of money in the first three months of the year as they gear up to protect their 50-50 majority. All four of the GOP’s main targets — Democratic Sens. Raphael Warnock of Georgia, Mark Kelly of Arizona, Maggie Hassan of New Hampshire and Catherine Cortez Masto of Nevada — raised more than $2 million in the first quarter of this year, and all four have more than $4.3 million in the bank…Three GOP senators who haven’t officially declared if they’re running again raised much less than most other incumbents.”
