DSCC Releases New TV Ad in North Carolina Senate Race: “Friends”

The DSCC released a new TV ad in North Carolina’s Senate race, “Friends,” spotlighting Senator Thom Tillis’ history of cozying up to the pharmaceutical and insurance industry special interests and voting against North Carolinians’ health care.

Senator Tillis took more money from Big Pharma than any other U.S. Senator last year and sided with his corporate special interest donors when he voted to gut the Affordable Care Act and allow insurance companies to deny coverage to North Carolinians with pre-existing conditions.

Friends

The ad is the second to run in North Carolina from the DSCC IE and is part of the committee’s previously announced offensive television and digital paid investments in key battleground states.

Transcript:

“Thom Tillis made a lot of special friends in Washington. Insurance and drug company lobbyists. The drug industry gave Tillis’ campaign more money than any other Senator. Period. No wonder Tillis voted to let insurance companies deny coverage for people with pre-existing conditions like asthma, diabetes, even cancer. Corrupt Thom Tillis. Best friend of the corporate special interests. No friend of ours.”
