As Republicans advance their devastating health care bill to a full House vote, DSCC spokesperson David Bergstein issued the following statement:
“Republicans are patting themselves on the back for advancing a bill that makes older Americans pay five times more for care, strips coverage for pre-existing conditions and jeopardizes women’s health care services while giving millions in handouts to big insurance companies. They’ll have little to celebrate next November, when voters hold every Republican Senate candidate accountable for this toxic platform that spikes costs and strips coverage for working Americans.”
As Republicans revive their toxic healthcare plan, the DSCC has re-launched its healthcare spot, “The Price” through Google search and Facebook advertising in 12 key Senate battleground states. The DSCC first released the spot — described as “gut punch of an ad” by MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow — in March alongside a healthcare website and a memo detailing the campaign implications of the GOP’s proposal. During the recent congressional recess the DSCC also expanded its healthcare website and released targeted Google search advertisements highlighting potential Republican Senate candidate’s’ who have already voiced support for their party’s toxic healthcare Plan.
