DSCC Statement: By Sending Senate Home, McConnell Delays Coronavirus Relief Package

Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee spokeswoman Lauren Passalacqua released the following statement on Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s decision to send the Senate home for the weekend before finalizing the coronavirus relief package:

“By sending the Senate home, Mitch McConnell is delaying a vote on the coronavirus relief package and was “absent” from the negotiations to finalize free coronavirus testing, paid sick leave, enhanced unemployment insurance and food assistance. It’s irresponsible and reflects the priorities of the Republican majority.”
