In response to the 49th anniversary of the landmark Supreme Court decision in Roe v. Wade, Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee spokeswoman Jazmin Vargas released the following statement:
“Today’s anniversary serves as a powerful reminder that the freedom for women to make our own health care decisions is firmly on the ballot this November. While Senate Democrats are committed to protecting access to reproductive care, Republicans’ attacks on Roe v. Wade and abortion access has put this issue front and center in the 2022 midterms — and for voters it will reinforce the stakes of protecting and expanding our Democratic Senate Majority with the power to confirm or reject Supreme Court justices.”
