DSCC Statement On Herschel Walker

Tonight, Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee spokesperson Amanda Sherman-Baity issued the following statement:

“As Georgia voters learn more about the real Herschel Walker, they’re going to decisively reject his campaign. His bizarre claims, outright lies and long trail of dishonest, fraudulent schemes will lead voters to a simple conclusion: Walker is not who he says he is, isn’t up for the job, and has no business representing Georgians in the Senate.”

What To Know About Herschel Walker:

Walker routinely makes bizarre and false statements, “knows effectively nothing about public affairs,”and “doesn’t appear prepared for the task at hand.”

Walker has already faced a series of scandals that reveal he isn’t who he says he is: lying about his education and failed business record, claiming to own companies that don’t exist, and making a fortune from a program accused of “prey[ing] upon veterans and service members while defrauding the government.”

Even Republicans don’t trust Walker and say he will lose in November.  Walker’s GOP opponents have leveled brutal and relentless criticism against him – saying they “can’t recommend that anyone vote for him,” “we have no idea what the heck he’s talking about most of the time,” and that he will lose in November.
