DSCC Statement On NRSC Chair Scott Touting Infrastructure Funding He Voted Against

WPTV: “Scott said that both he and Rubio helped secure the billion dollars for Everglades restoration. However, neither Republican senator voted for the infrastructure bill.”
HuffPost: “Scott on Tuesday became the latest Republican lawmaker to seek credit for the bipartisan infrastructure overhaul he opposed in Congress.”

In response to NRSC Chair Rick Scott taking credit for Senate Democrats’ Bipartisan Infrastructure Law – despite voting against the bill – Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee spokesperson Jazmin Vargas issued the following statement:

“Under Republicans ‘infrastructure week’ was a joke – which is why we appreciate Scott bringing further attention to the jobs and infrastructure investments Senate Democrats are successfully delivering. Next time he should vote for the bill.”
