DSCC Statement On Pennsylvania Senate Debate

Oz: Abortion should be between women, doctors, and local political leaders

Oz: “It’s a television show like this is a television show

In response to tonight’s Pennsylvania U.S. Senate debate, Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee spokesperson Patrick Burgwinkle issued the following statement:

“John Fetterman won tonight’s debate by exposing Mehmet Oz for exactly who he really is: a fraud and a scam artist who will do, say, and sell anything to help himself – no matter who gets hurt. The truth is that even though Oz has spent years in a TV studio he made multiple damaging gaffes in tonight’s debate, including his comment that women’s health care decisions should be made by political leaders and his telling admission that he views this campaign ‘like this is a television show.’ Tonight’s debate will lead Pennsylvania voters to a simple conclusion: Oz has no business serving in the U.S. Senate.”
