In response to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers today announcing funding for ports and waterway projects – made possible by Democrats’ Bipartisan Infrastructure Law – Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee spokesperson Jazmin Vargas released the following statement:
“Senate Democrats are addressing voters’ most pressing priorities: strengthening our supply chains to lower costs on goods and growing good paying jobs by improving our ports and waterways. While Senate Republicans cater to corporate special interests that want to keep prices high and serve the wealthiest few, Senate Democrats have brought both sides together to deliver an infrastructure investment that benefits working families – and that’s why Democrats will protect and expand our Senate majority in November.”
Last week, funding was announced to repair and replace American bridges as part of Senate Democrats’ Bipartisan Infrastructure law.
Reminder: Senate Democrats’ Bipartisan Infrastructure Law will create millions of good paying jobs, strengthen our supply chains, help our nation out-compete other countries like China, deliver clean drinking water and access to high-speed internet, and repair our nation’s roads and bridges.
