In response to the Supreme Court’s decision to allow Texas’ abortion ban to stand, Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee spokeswoman Jazmin Vargas released the following statement:
“This ruling serves as a powerful reminder that the freedom for women to make our own health care decisions is firmly on the ballot next year. Republicans’ attacks on Roe v. Wade and abortion access has put this issue front and center in the 2022 midterms — and for voters it will reinforce the stakes of protecting and expanding our Democratic Senate Majority with the power to confirm or reject Supreme Court justices.”
