DSCC Statement on Special Interest Spending In New Hampshire

Justin Barasky, Communications Director of the DSCC, made the following statement after the latest Rove-funded ad has now brought special interest spending for Kelly Ayotte up to a whopping $3 million.

“Kelly Ayotte’s special interest allies know how vulnerable she is, and in order to save her political career they are desperately rushing to rewrite her record of voting to defund Planned Parenthood and make it harder for women to access healthcare. Less than 48 hours after Maggie Hassan joined the Senate race, Ayotte’s special interest allies have now spent $3 million to prop her up and are in full panic mode because they know how difficult it will be to sell Ayotte’s record of voting against New Hampshire’s best interests. At the end of the day, New Hampshire voters won’t be fooled by Karl Rove and the Koch Brothers’ attempts to bail out Kelly Ayotte.”
