DSCC Targets James with New Digital Ad on Health Care Lawsuit

Ads highlight one year since Republicans argued in federal court that “protections for pre-existing conditions should be ruled unconstitutional

James said that he supports Trump’s toxic agenda “2,000%”

The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee is launching a new digital ad today highlighting failed Senate candidate John James’ refusal to stand up to the GOP’s toxic lawsuit to gut pre-existing conditions coverage and other protections, including maternity care and keeping kids on their parents’ insurance until age 26.

James has said he supports President Trump’s agenda “2,000%” — including efforts to tear down the health care law.

“James has said he backs President Trump ‘2,000%’ — despite the fact that it would mean gutting protections for Michiganders with pre-existing conditions or families already worrying about the cost of care,” said DSCC spokesman Stewart Boss. “During his last failed campaign, James cheered on the reckless tax law that made this suit possible in the first place and pledged to dismantle health care protections for Michiganders, making it clear from before he even entered this race that Michigan families can’t afford his dangerous health care agenda.”
