Kelly Ayotte is catching heat in New Hampshire for putting her own political ambition ahead of the people of New Hampshire by allegedly interfering in the state’s budget process in the name of political gain.
The New Hampshire Democratic Party filed a right-to-know request last week seeking information about Ayotte’s political operation alleged meddling in the state budget process and exerting political pressure in a desperate attempt to prop up her reelection effort.

In the letter, Buckley charges Morse has made it clear from his statements and positions “that the political games you and your colleagues are playing with the state budget are being directed by Sen. Kelly Ayotte’s political operation. It is obvious to all observers that these partisan efforts are intended to cause gridlock in Concord with the goal of scoring political points against Gov. Hassan, whom Sen. Ayotte and her allies desperately fear as a potential opponent.”
“Kelly Ayotte and her allies are so terrified about her dim reelection prospects that they’ve resorted to playing politics with the state budget process in a shameful attempt to obstruct potential opponents,” said Sadie Weiner, DSCC National Press Secretary. “Between the early influx of outside money supporting her and the disgraceful attempts to interfere in the state budget negotiations, Ayotte and her allies have made it clear that they will do just about anything for Ayotte’s political gain, and New Hampshire families deserve better.”
