“Ron Johnson is already a major headache for Washington Republicans. As the most unpopular incumbent and a notorious conspiracy theorist, Johnson is a toxic candidate in a critical battleground. Today’s endorsement from Donald Trump, a disgraced, divisive former president who lost Wisconsin in 2020, is just another liability for Johnson.”
Johnson’s embrace of the toxic former president, whose approval rating in the state remains underwater, has put him “at risk of losing moderate voters critical to winning.”
