Senate Democrats Announce “Astounding,” “Monster,” “Bonkers” Fundraising Numbers

POLITICO: “Senate Democrats…smoked their announced Republican opponents in the fundraising race.”

Democratic incumbents continue to break fundraising records, reporting “astounding” hauls and building their cash on hand in key battlegrounds across the map. The “staggering” Q3 numbers put their campaigns in strong financial positions heading into the final quarter of the off-year and are the latest evidence that Democrats are running aggressive campaign operations across the country and are ready to defend our majority.

• ARIZONA – Senator Mark Kelly announced raising $8 million in Q3 and heads into the final quarter of 2021 with close to $13 million cash on hand –– a “bonkers number” reflecting the strength of Kelly’s campaign as he continues “smoking [the crowded Republican primary field] in the cash dash.”

• GEORGIA – Senator Reverend Warnock raised a “monster” $9.5 million in Q3 and will report $17.2 million in cash on hand. The “enormous sum” was made up of contributions from more than 145,000 donors and is “more than any Georgia U.S. Senate campaign has reported at this stage in the election cycle.”

• NEVADA – Senator Catherine Cortez Masto raised more than $3.15 million – “a record amount of off-year fundraising for the senator” – and will report $8.3 million cash on hand. The historic haul “gives Cortez Masto a huge cash lead.”

• NEW HAMPSHIRE – Senator Maggie Hassan set “another fundraising record” in Q3, raising nearly $3 million and reporting more than $6.5 million on hand. The “massive campaign war chest” built by Hassan is “the largest total for funds raised and cash on hand for a New Hampshire U.S. Senate candidate at this point in an election cycle” and is the “fourth consecutive record-setting” haul for the incumbent.
