Sens. Johnson & Rubio Vote Against Even Debating Job Creating Infrastructure Proposal

In response to Senators Johnson and Rubio’s vote against even debating a bipartisan infrastructure proposal, Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee spokesperson Jazmin Vargas released the following statement:

“While Senate Democrats are focused on delivering a plan that will grow jobs in America by investing in our nation’s infrastructure, Johnson and Rubio won’t even debate the topic. Every time Republicans stand in the way of proposals that will help hard working Americans, it only reinforces the stakes of this election — and voters will hold Johnson and Rubio accountable for obstructing progress on this vital issue.”

New polling shows that an overwhelming majority of Americans support the bipartisan infrastructure package — including 6 in 10 Republican voters.
