  • This election is a clear choice between two different groups of people. It’s the party who’s done almost the majority of the things that this President promised he would do on the campaign trail, versus the party of right-wing extreme, election denying, insurrection supporters who are on the ballot like against Val Demings down in Florida, like against Mandela, like against Mark Kelly, like against Cheri Beasley. That’s a decision we have to make in November.
  • We have to also talk about the things that have been done. And the only way we can get those things done that people say have not been done is if we go out and vote in November. We have a 50/50 Senate. If we win two or three more seats, and that is a reality that can be accomplished, like in Pennsylvania, like in North Carolina, like in Wisconsin, some of these things that we talked about hadn’t been done, with just one vote, we will be able to get them done.
  • Voting is a continued exercise we have to keep doing. And the fact of the matter is for the people who say, well, “I’m pissed off,” “I’m not as excited” – while we have the attitude, there’s another group of people, Reverend Al, who are working right now to try to further silence and suffocate those rights… Those are the people who voted against all the things that we have done, like in the Infrastructure Bill, like money for HBCUs… those are the same people who criticize Joe Biden for implementing things like all those elements in the George Floyd Policing Act. Those were people who tried to hold up the first Black woman being on the United States Supreme Court. And so we have a choice to make — it’s us versus them in this next election.
