DSCC Endorses Reverend Raphael Warnock in Georgia Senate Race

Senator Catherine Cortez Masto, Chair of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, issued the following statement endorsing Reverend Raphael Warnock in the Georgia U.S. Senate race:

“Throughout his life, Reverend Raphael Warnock has shown that when there is a call to serve, he answers with the moral clarity we need more of in Washington. His path to Dr. Martin Luther King’s pulpit celebrates the best of our country and grounds his commitment to making sure Georgians have access to quality, affordable care, are paid a livable wage, and can send their kids to great schools no matter their zip code. We are proud to endorse his campaign and look forward to working with him in the United States Senate.”

Reverend Raphael Warnock was born and raised in Savannah, graduated from Morehouse College and now serves as the Senior Pastor at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta, the former pulpit of Reverend Dr. King, Jr. A longtime advocate for health care and economic justice, he is running for U.S. Senate to give voice to the concerns of Georgia families, to restore the dignity of working people, and to make sure every Georgian’s voice is heard. Today, the Cook Political Report moved the Georgia Special Election in Democrats’ direction, citing Warnock’s entrance.
