DSCC Releases New TV Ad in NV Senate Race: “Gutless”

Today the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee released a new television advertisement in Nevada’s Senate race: “Gutless.”

The spot features a testimonial from Iraq war veteran Kyle Rhodes calling out Senator Heller for breaking his promise to protect Nevadans’ health care — caving to political pressure and voting for the GOP health care agenda that slashed Medicaid for Nevada veterans, as well spiking premiums and gutting coverage for pre-existing conditions.

Gutless

The ad will begin airing today as part of the DSCC’s previously announced reservation.

Transcript:

Kyle Rhodes: I served in Iraq, but when I got home I couldn’t afford health insurance.

Kyle Rhodes: I finally got it when they expanded Medicaid. That helped a lot of vets.

Kyle Rhodes: I believed Dean Heller when he promised to protect our health care.

Kyle Rhodes: But Dean Heller broke that promise. And I thought man this guy is gutless.

Kyle Rhodes: He just caved to political pressure, and the big corporate interests paying for his campaign.

Iraq Veteran: Dean Heller, you voted against us. Now it’s our turn to vote against you.

Narrator: DSCC is responsible for the content of this ad.
