DSCC Statement on Jane Raybould’s Victory in Nebraska Senate Primary

Following Jane Raybould’s victory tonight in the Nebraska Senate primary, Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee spokesman David Bergstein released the following statement:

“As a grocer who helps run her family business, Jane understands what it means to serve her community and she’ll bring that can-do attitude to the Senate. Nebraskans expect a tireless advocate for them and their families, which is something Senator Fischer has failed to do – like when she votes with her party 98 percent of the time even when it hurts Nebraskans or left her constituents without a seat on the Agriculture Committee for the first time in nearly half a century. In November, Nebraskans will hold Senator Fischer accountable for putting her party and special interests above her constituents and proudly elect an independent leader in Jane Raybould.”
