Senate Republican candidates on record for PR stunt bill experts say will not protect pre-existing conditions
Senator Roy Blunt joined Senator Susan Collins in rejecting Senator Dean Heller and fellow Senate Republicans’ eleventh-hour efforts to cover up the dangerous health care plan they’ve put forward to boost struggling GOP Senate campaigns.
Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee spokesman David Bergstein issued the following statement:
“Now even Republicans are calling their own bill a sham. GOP Senate candidates wanted to use this fake proposal to cover up their long records of spiking health care costs and slashing coverage for pre-existing conditions — all they’ve done is reinforce why voters can’t trust them to look out for anyone but themselves.”
